The two studies are inspired by the landscape of my homeland, the North Eifel near the Belgian border. It is an area of stark beauty and sometimes stark contrasts.
The pieces reflect two ways of looking at and moving about in a landscape: the first study is like a quiet walk, the second like a speedy car ride.
