In March 2020 I started a private project with the American writer Leslie Dunton-Downer to counteract the corona depression. For almost nine months we had a Skype call every week, in which we discussed one David Bowie album at a time - starting with his latest album 'Blackstar'; and going backwards chronologically through his discography.
Bowie's music means a great deal to both of us, and the repeated study of his work has made me realize once again how important Bowie is to me as a composer, even though I work in a completely different musical field.
'Electric Blue'; was created as a reminder of our weekly conversations. It is dedicated to Leslie Dunton-Downer and the memory of David Bowie, one of the greatest artists of our time.
